Caltagirone Editore Spa controls the publishing companies of Il Messaggero, Il Mattino and Il Gazzettino, leading newspapers in the in cities of Rome, Naples and Venice, respectively. It also publishes two local newspapers: Il Corriere Adriatico in the Marche region and Il Nuovo Quotidiano di Puglia in the Salento area. Incorporated in December 1999, the Company is listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since July 2000; through its subsidiaries it operates in the daily newspapers, free press and internet businesses with the aim of providing high quality local content for the local communities that it serves as well as a first-rate advertising medium for both local and national advertisers. Founded in 1878, Il Messaggero is one of the oldest newspapers in the country with strong leadership in Rome, the Lazio region and in Central Italy. The newspaper has 14 editions: - one national edition -13 local editions: Rome, Urban area, Ostia Litorale, Viterbo, Civitavecchia, Frosinone, Latina, Rieti, Pesaro, Ancona, Marche, Abruzzo, Umbria. Il Messaggero is the 4th italian daily newspaper with more than 1,410,000 daily readers in 2010 and an average of 193,000 copies sold.
IL MATTINO
Founded in 1892, Il Mattino is one of the most representative newspapers of Southern Italy and strongly rooted in Naples and Campania. The newspaper has 8 editions: - one national editon - 7 local editions: Naples, Naples Northern urban area, Naples Southern urban area, Caserta, Benevento, Salerno and Avellino. Il Mattino has a strong leadership in the Campania region and is amongst the first ten national newspapers with around 838,000 daily readers and 74,183 copies sold in 2010.

Founded in 1887, Il Gazzettino di Venezia is today the major daily newspaper in the North-East of Italy. It is among the top ten national newspapers with 79,539 copies sold and around 652,000 daily readers in 2010. Founded in 1860, Il Corriere Adriatico is the market leader in the Marche region. In 2000 the newspaper started a technological innovation process by deeply restructuring its editorial content, which led to a more user-friendly format. Founded in 1979, Il Nuovo Quotidiano di Puglia has rapidly become the most widely-read newspaper in the Salento area. From Monday to Saturday the newspaper is distributed on newsstands as supplement to the national edition of Il Messaggero. Today it has 3 editions: Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto. Il Nuovo Quotidiano di Puglia has daily circulation of 19,551 copies and 381,000 average daily readers in 2010.

Founded in 1988, Piemme is the advertising agency for the Caltagirone Editore Group from 1996 and it sells both print and online advertising spaces. It operates in Rome, Milan, Naples, Venice-Mestre, Ancona and Lecce and in others 32 subsidiaries distributed all over Italy.
